Central Astoria LDC Invites You To ‘Swing’ On By

The Central Astoria Local Development Coalition’s 2017 Waterfront Concert Series continues on Thursday, August 3, at 7:30 p.m. when 1930s/40s Jazz & Swing inspired band Fleur Seule will take the stage with their talented bandleader Allyson Briggs. Briggs will captivate you with her phenomenal voice, taking you on a wonderful trip to the big band days of yesteryear. Everyone is invited to attend this free concert on the beautiful Astoria Park waterfront. Bring a blanket or chair and “swing” by early because this concert is a must see!

The CALDC 2017 Waterfront Concert Series will continue on Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m. in August with live performances by the following bands:

8/10 - D.B. Rielly & Band
8/17 - A Decade of Soul (Motown)
The 2017 Movies on the Waterfront Series continues on Monday, August 7 at sunset on the Astoria
Park Great Lawn with the musical comedy, “School of Rock.”
The movie presentations will continue on Monday evenings at sunset throughout the summer as
8/14 – “Toy Story 3”
8/21 – “Titanic”
8/28 – “Finding Dory”

Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council, and Council Members Costa Constantinides and
Jimmy Van Bramer.
