NYC Councilman Paul Vallone received the endorsement of Congressman Thomas Suozzi and the Italian American Political Action Committee (IAMPAC) which was announced at Tony’s Beechhurst Delicatessen in Whitestone.

Congressman Suozzi, a CPA and attorney, represents the 3rd Congressional District. He serves on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, House Armed Services Committee, is Vice-Chair of the Problem Solvers Caucus and co-Chair of the Quiet Skies Caucus.

“I am proud to endorse Paul Vallone for reelection. When I first ran for Congress to represent Queens, Paul was an invaluable resource. He knows the people of Queens, what they care about, what they need and what we can do as their elected representatives to help them and their families,” said Suozzi. “Paul Vallone shares Queens’ values; he is honest and hardworking, just like Queens. We need to keep Paul on the City Council so he can continue working for us.”

IAMPAC Chair Jack Como, President James Lisa, Vice President Robert Fonti and Secretary Vecenzo D’Angelo remarked in a letter addressed to Vallone, “We believe that Paul Vallone is the kind of individual who embodies the type of leadership our organization supports. Paul’s appreciation of his own heritage, as well as others’, demonstrates his ability to respect traditions while moving forward with a vision for the future. We wish Paul much success in this year’s election – buona fortuna!”

“Northeast Queens is home to so many unique and wonderful heritages and the Italian American community stands strongly among them,” said Vallone. “I am proud of my Italian roots, and I am especially proud to earn this meaningful endorsement as I seek reelection to continue representing the families of northeast Queens.”

IAMPAC is a non-partisan political action committee, registered and operating in the state of New York, whose founders, officers and members, representing a broad spectrum of political philosophies, will engage in the political arena to make political institutions, elected officials and candidates for public office respond with deeds to the interests and well-being of the Italian American community.
