The third Jamaica Market was held on July 5 in downtown Jamaica The stalwart pie jurists preparing for the task ahead (l. to r.); Ulrich Figge, representing the farmer fruit and vegetable purveyors, Laurel Brown, the Chief Operating Officer of the Greater Jamaica Development Corporation, and Ismail Ibrahim of the percussionist of the Prest4Time band.

The highlight of the event was the annual “Baked Fruit Pie” Contest.   

All the homemade pie entries were made with fruit purchased at the Jamaica Market.Delicious pies await sampling.
