Cops Hunt Brute In Senior Robbery

Police are searching for a heartless suspect who assaulted and robbed a 72-year-old Astoria man on July 12.

Cops said the victim was walking in front of 37-10 Broadway at about 2:20 p.m. on July 12th when the suspect approached him from behind and shoved him to the ground.

The suspect grabbed the victim’s wallet from his pocket and then ran from the scene in an unknown direction, police said.

The suspect is described as a black male, 25-to-30 years old, about 6-feet tall and 180 pounds. He was wearing a white shirt with blue sleeves, tan pants and blue and white sneakers at the time of the attack.
