Queen Of Country

Cheryl Ann McCullagh.Cheryl Ann McCullagh.Queens resident Cheryl Ann McCullagh, 25, is currently entered in America’s biggest country music competition, “NASH Next 94.7 FM.”
The third annual music contest is the brainchild of major record label Big Machine Label Group, and is supported by radio giants Cumulus Media, as well as national sponsor, Country Inns & Suites by Carlson.
Cheryl Ann is hoping to receive the competition’s first place prize of a record deal with NASH Next Records, under the Big Machine Label Group, home of superstars such as Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, and Thomas Rhett.
No stranger to the music industry herself, Cheryl Ann has talent and ambition to burn as a graduate of Fiorello H. LaGuardia Performing Arts High School (also known as the “Fame” high school), where she was a vocal major.
Singing professionally in New York and abroad, Cheryl Ann described the huge country competition as the materialization of her biggest dream; to walk in the footsteps of her idols Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks to become the latest country music sensation.
The talented singer noted, “There’s no denying my Irish roots have influenced my taste in music, and I spent last year touring the Irish country circuit, where I recorded my competition song, ‘My Soldier,’ with talented songwriter Greg French.”
Cheryl Ann explained: “It would be an absolute dream to win NASH Next 94.7 FM and the support of the Queens community never ceases to amaze me. I’m so thankful to everyone who has voted so far, but every rating counts and I need as many people to vote as possible!”
