Man Dies In Subway Plunge

Investigators are trying to determine why a 55-year-old Queens man jumped to his death from an elevated No. 7 train platform in Jackson Heights early on June 20.

Eyewitnesses told police they saw the man jump from the No. 7 platform at the 82nd Street station at about 8 a.m. on June 20th, a police source said.

The man, whose identity has not been released, plunged from the Manhattan-bound platform to the street below, police said.

Cops closed off an area around 83rd Street and Roosevelt Avenue until police completed their investigation, authorities said.
