Thank You For Letting Us Serve You

Thirty-five years ago, the Queens Gazette was created to fill a need for local news coverage in our community. After 35 years, as much as the world has changed, there is still a need for coverage of local community news, week in and week out, year in and year out. We always try to cover a locally oriented view of news in our community. During that time we have made changes. We were among the first newspapers to go digital – ever since 1999, when we rolled out our online digital format – while still maintaining our hard copy, on-the-street paper.

In this historic, aka souvenir issue, we are focusing on some of our covers and special features over the last 18 years.

No matter how much the world changes, there will always be a need to know what is going on in the community. That is why we are here, to serve you, our readers, and so we thank each and every one of you – whether you are reading the full online version, our mobile media, links to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram accounts, picking up the hard copy at the bank, supermarket, restaurant, deli, library or having it delivered to your home – you still are the reason we are here, as we hope to be for many more years to come.

We send out our thanks to each of you for your interest, and also for sending in your news stories and photos of community happenings and for supporting our advertisers and events.
