Rozic Meets ’86 Mets At City Hall Celebration

Assembly Member Nily Rozic (D-WF, Fresh Meadows) joined state Senator Michael Gianaris (D-Astoria) and Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer (D-Sunnyside) on April 28 at City Hall, where a celebration was held for Dwight “Doc” Gooden, former pitcher for the New York Mets, who helped the 1986 team clinch the club’s second World Series win. At a ceremony in front of the steps of City Hall, Mayor Bill de Blasio presented Gooden with a  Key to the City. Following the ceremony, Rozic met with Gooden (bottom right) and former catcher Barry Lyons as well as former right fielder Darryl Strawberry (above left).
