The kiosks feature free Android and Apple charging devices, free high-speed Wi-Fi, a tablet showing maps of the area, and information on city services.

The city has plans to install approximately 7,500 of the links in neighborhoods throughout the five boroughs over the next few years, and a total of 82 links have so far been installed in neighborhoods throughout Queens.

The city is introducing the program to the Community Board 1 (CB1) area with the three Broadway kiosks, and is planning to install 10 others in the board area.

All LinkNYC services are provided free of charge and are funded by advertisements posted on the kiosks. Local businesses will have an opportunity to advertise at a nearby link and will be able to choose the time slot in order to make the most of their advertisement.
