Mets Shut Out Braves In Season Opener


The 2017 New York Mets lined up along the first base line during Opening Day pre-game ceremonies. A moment of silence was observed in memory of NYPD Detective Steven McDonald and FDNY EMT Yadira Arroyo who died this year in the line of duty.

Noah Syndergaard started the opening day game against the Atlanta Braves by shutting them out, allowing five hits and striking out seven. He had to leave due to a blister on his throwing hand, denying him the victory.
