Thomas M. Quinn & Sons, Always Planning Ahead

Although paying for plastic bags has not yet become a reality, Thomas M. Quinn & Sons Funeral Home is not waiting for that eventuality. Planning ahead, as is their motto, this local Dignity Memorial funeral provider has geared up to distribute free shopper totes.

In an effort to reduce the pollution caused by plastic, New York City legislators have been trying, as yet unsuccessfully, to impose a 5-cent surcharge, to the consumer, on every plastic bag used.

While the most recently proposed legislation was vetoed by Governor Cuomo, most New Yorkers would agree that protecting the environment is a priority and at some point a surcharge will be levied.

Thomas M. Quinn & Sons Funeral Home has taken the initiative to produce high quality, reusable shopping totes to make life a little easier for New Yorkers. Provided free of charge, each person can collect up to two free bags.

Stop by the funeral home, Monday through Friday at 35-20 Broadway, Long Island City, and ask for Chastity to get your bags.
