Borough President Katz discussed a number of transportation issues, including Mayor de Blasio’s proposal for the Brooklyn Queens Connector (BQX), a streetcar line that would run from Sunset Park, Brooklyn to Astoria. The Borough President said officials need to consider extending the BQX route to LaGuardia Airport, and added that we need assurances that the final BQX route will be within easy reach of the families living in the NYCHA developments in the area, including the Astoria, Ravenswood and Queensbridge Houses.
