Cops Hunt Suspects In Astoria, Bronx Burglaries

Police in Astoria are searching for a man and woman who were captured on surveillance footage stealing several packages from the lobby of an apartment building on 30th Avenue.

Cops said the suspects entered the building at about 3:30 p.m. on January 10, where they swiped the packages and loaded them into a Nissan Pathfinder parked outside. The pair fled in an unknown direction in the Pathfinder, police said.

The suspects returned to the same building on January 11, where they used an assortment of tools to open a cash machine in the lobby, police said. The suspects removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the machine and fled in an unknown direction.

Investigators have linked the suspects to at least 13 similar burglaries in the Bronx and Queens between October and January 11, police said.
