Queens Center Diamond Store Robbed Three Times

By Liz Goff
Police are searching for three brazen bandits who swiped jewelry on three recent occasions from a Zales Diamond Store located in the Queens Center Mall.

Cops said one of the suspects entered the store at the Elmhurst shopping center at about 5:50 p.m. on October 21, where he grabbed an undisclosed amount of jewelry from a display case and fled in an unknown direction.

A second suspect entered the store two days later, on October 23, at about 6:05 p.m., and grabbed an entire display case containing an assortment of jewelry, police said. The thief fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The third suspect, along with another man, entered the store at about 8:35 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, forced open a locked display shelf and made off with an undisclosed amount of jewelry, police said.

Surveillance footage from inside the mall shows the three suspects together on an escalator just prior to the December 31 robbery, police said.

The three male suspects are in their 20s, and were wearing ski masks, dark knit hats and dark clothing during the New Year’s Eve robbery, police said.
