More Dutch Kills Development

By Liz Goff
A small, two-story brick office building at 41-14 27th Street in the Dutch Kills section of Long Island City is facing demolition to make way for a nine-story, 30-unit apartment building.

Plans show the new building will feature 30 apartments on 22k710-square-feet of residential space, and 2,080-square-feet of ground floor retail space.

Plans call for a roof deck, but no indoor parking facilities. Under current zoning laws, no indoor parking is required for new developments in the area.

Developer Kenny Liu acquired the 5,000-square-foot property for $6,500,000 in September 2016.

The new building will be located close to the No. 7, N and W subway lines at the Queensboro Plaza station, and the E, M and R lines at nearby Queens Plaza.
