Storytelling Show!

Come to the Bookshop ready to tell a five-minute true story about something
that happened to you. Don't worry about sticking to a theme. . . you don't have
to. Participants' names will be pulled from a basket, open-mic style. And of
course, non-storytellers welcome to join the audience!

Young Writers Workshop

Welcome, Young Writers! Together with instructor Jenn Wehrung you will use
writing prompts and exercises to work on your creative writing process in a fun
and encouraging environment! So, bring a notebook and your favorite writing
utensil and your awesome imagination and let's get writing!

Creative Writing Workshop: Would You Rather?

How to create character conflict: Get your characters out of their heads and
externalize their inner demons.Thoughts and feelings can be taken back, but
ACTION is what makes characters commit to consequences. Through a
mixture of discussion and writing exercises, we'll explore what our characters
do when the heat turns up. Will they sell their soul to solve their problems? And
at what price?
