The Grand Menorah Motorcade

Western Queens was greeted by a Grand Menorah Motorcade, celebrating the festival of Chanukah. The parade, which took place Monday evening, December 26th, is the third Car Menorah Parade arranged by Chabad Lubavitch Yeshiva of Forest Hills.

Over 50 vehicles, each bearing an electrical Menorah on the roof, paraded through the main streets of Forest Hills, Rego Park and Kew Gardens Hills – including Queens Blvd., 108th Street, Main Street, and Union Turnpike. The motorcade culminated with a Grand Menorah Lighting at Federoff Triangle, led by Rabbi Eli Blokh, Chabad Rabbi of Rego Park, and was attended by Council Member Karen Koslowitz.

After the parade, the Jewish high school students hit the streets, handing out menorahs, as well as visiting locals at home, continuing in spreading the joy of Chanukah.

The parade was escorted by the local police departments, who kept the parade safe and running smoothly.
