Cops ID Suspect In Foiled Robbery

Police last week identified a suspect they are seeking in connection with the attempted robbery of a 33-year-old Long Island City woman.

Cops said the victim was walking on 44th Drive near 23rd Street at about 1:15 a.m. on February 21, 2016 when Hymi Myers, 38, tried to grab her keys and cell phone.

The victim screamed and managed to hold onto her belongings, police said. Myers fled the scene empty handed in an unknown direction.

The male suspect is described as 5-foot, 9-inches tall and 160 pounds.

Anyone with information on Myers whereabouts is urged to call the CrimeStoppers HOTLINE at 1-800-577-TIPS or click on www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
