Armed Bandit Wanted In Astoria Hold Up

Police are searching for an armed gunman who held up an Astoria bodega on November 28.

Cops said the suspect walked into AB News & Grocery at 23-14 Broadway at about 2:30 p.m. on November 28, where he flashed a weapon and demanded cash from a 64-year-old worker.

The clerk complied with the demand, and the suspect made off with approximately $450 cash from the store register, police said. The gunman fled on foot with the cash, heading westbound on Broadway, police said.

The male suspect is described as 6-feet, 2-inches tall and 180 pounds. He was wearing a black knit cap, a black coat, blue sweatpants, and was carrying a black shoulder bag at the time of the robbery.

The HOTLINE is offering a reward of up to $2,500 to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
