Using the engineering design process, students identify problems, develop and test possible alternatives, and ultimately reach a solution. The incorporation of mathematics, science, and engineering practices, used in conjunction with digital literacy, helps students unravel complex inquiries. “I was told by the School Leadership Team at PS 196 that there was a critical need for a STEM Cart for our kids,” said Koslowitz.  “After investigating how to provide the necessary funding to get this mobile lab for the school, I was delighted to let Principal Susan Migliano know that STEM was on its way.  I was so pleased to be able to provide our school kids with this amazing learning tool.  Now our teachers will be able to turn their classrooms into high-tech STEM learning environments stimulating young minds with challenging problems to explore and solve.”
