Resorts World Casino, Red Cross Collect Nearly 100 Units Of Blood

On Thursday, December 15, Resorts World Casino New York City (RWNYC) hosted its last blood drive of the year, collecting a total of 29 units of blood. Resorts World has now surpassed its annual goal by collecting nearly 100 units of blood.

Friday’s collection surpassed the event goal of 23 units. Almost 30 people donated, and nearly half of the donors were Resorts World employees. This year, Resorts World hosted four blood drives in total, aiming to collect 93 units of blood.

“We are excited to work together with the American Red Cross to collect critical resources that enable medical professionals to save countless lives,” said Michelle Stoddart, Director of Public Relations and Community Development at Resorts World Casino New York City. “I was ecstatic to see the results of our final blood drive, where we were able to collect 29 units of blood and surpass our goal for the year. We couldn’t have done it without the incredible support of the Ozone Park community.”

Resorts World’s next blood drive is scheduled for Thursday, April 20, 2017. Two additional drives have been scheduled for July 13 and October 6.
