Hunt Suspects In Foiled Carjack

By Liz Goff
Police are searching for two suspects who tasered an off-duty NYPD detective during a failed carjacking in Astoria.

Cops said the 35-year-old detective was sitting in his car on 12th Street near 31st Avenue at about 7 p.m. on November 12 when the suspects approached, pulled him out of the vehicle and shocked him with the taser.

The suspects fled after they were unable to make off in the car, police said.

The detective called 911 to report the attack and refused medical treatment, police said.
