NY Presbyterian Medical Group Queens/Weill Cornell Celebrates Grand Opening

At this centrally located facility at 112-05 Queens Boulevard, patients can receive high-quality primary, specialty and women’s health services, all under the same roof. The opening of this facility follows the recent launch of an Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Center in Jackson Heights, and is indicative of NewYork-Presbyterian’s continued vision to bring a new standard of care to the borough of Queens.

Michael Nochomovitz, M.D., Senior Vice President/Chief Integration and Network Development Officer, NewYork-Presbyterian, Stephen Rimar, M.D., President, NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Queens, Jaclyn Mucaria, President of NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens, and Borough President Melinda Katz, gave remarks at the ceremony and were joined by state Senator Toby Ann Stavisky and Councilwoman Karen Koslowitz to cut the ribbon to officially unveil the new facility.

Dr. Nochomovitz, said, “We are all a part of NewYork-Presbyterian and together, we can bring the highest standard of care to the people of Queens.”

Jaclyn Mucaria told the audience, “We are thrilled to expand our footprint in Queens and serve the people of Forest Hills. We are committed to this borough and want to keep the residents of this borough healthy.”

“The development of this site will help further our goal of expanding primary care and women’s health services into the local community,” said Dr. Rimar.

Services such as primary care, cardiology, rheumatology, vascular surgery and women’s health services, including breast surgery and gynecologic oncology, will be offered at this Forest Hills location. The facility is approximately 12,000 square feet and is comprised of a team of 12 multi-specialty physicians and 20 staff.

Patients will have access to some of the best physicians in Queens, including internationally-recognized gynecologic oncologist Dr. David A. Fishman, rheumatologist Dr. Tehila Zuckerman and cardiologists Dr. Jonathan Ruan and Dr. Sahadeo Ramnauth.

Guests and media were invited on a tour to see the new center and equipment, including a stress test room for Cardiology and a procedure room for Gynecologic Oncology.
