Goodfellas ATM Machine Goes MIA
A police source said when the diner owner arrived on the morning of November 8; he found the front door open and the lock missing. When he entered the diner, the owner discovered the ATM machine was also missing, a police source said.
The diner, at Maspeth Avenue and Rust Street, was dubbed the Clinton Diner until director Martin Scorsese filmed Robert De Niro and Ray Liotta in a pivotal scene from the 1990 gangster classic, “Goodfellas” at the eatery.
Police are still searching for two men who seriously injured the 83-year-old diner owner and his elderly wife last month, in an incident involving an unpaid bill.
