Chrissy’s Wish Memorial Fund was born after Mario and Linda Rossi’s daughter, Chrissy took her life in July, 2006, at the age of 26, after suffering more than half her life with depression and bipolar disorder. Chrissy left over 150 books she had been reading and searching for the answer to her illness in, desperately hoping for peace of mind. That is when Chrissy’s family and friends knew that they would not allow Chrissy’s life to have been in vain, and they would pick up where Chrissy left off in her search for better treatments and ultimately cures.

In the past 10 years, Chrissy’s Wish has raised more than $550,000 for mental health research through the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation, where 100% of every dollar donated goes directly to mental health research! BBRF has continued to research over 42 brain disorders including ADHD, Schizophrenia, PTSD, depression and bipolar disorder, just to mention a few.

Their quest is to bring an end to the struggles so many people continue to live with, to open dialogue and tear down the stigma of mental illness. Mental illnesses are not personality flaws, they are illnesses and need to be treated as such. Please join Linda and Mario in the fight against mental illness by supporting Chrissy’s Wish.
