Veteran Aviation Journalist Christine Negroni Speaks At Vaughn College

Veteran aviation journalist and author Christine Negroni was a guest speaker at Vaughn College on Tuesday, October 25. Negroni spoke to students, faculty and staff about her experiences as a journalist, the aviation industry and about the process of writing her book, “The Crash Detectives: Investigating the World’s Most Mysterious Air Disasters.” She also signed copies of her book for students at the event.

Negroni’s presentation covered an array of topics important to the aviation industry including aviation safety, the predicted forecast for aviation professionals, the increase in the development of automation technology, and the effect of hypoxia, or a rapid decrease in oxygen levels, on pilots.

“Ms. Negroni’s presentation was a fantastic supplement to our students’ in-class education,” said Management Department Chair Dr. Maxine Lubner, who organized the event. “Our students left her presentation with valuable information they’ll be able to use in their professional lives once they graduate from Vaughn.”
