On Wednesday, October 26th, individuals from Queens Centers for Progress’ (QCP) Bellerose Day Services Program, celebrated the fall season with their annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest. This year’s theme was “Food.” The contestants, who worked in teams, were asked to turn their pumpkins into edible, inspired creations. The results were astounding with elaborate displays of Spaghetti and Meatballs (First Place), Turkey Dinner with all the Fixings (Second Place) and a Circus-Themed Popcorn Display (Third Place).

The Judges, Assemblyman David Weprin, Arthur Bloch, President of Ray Block Stationery and Pam Desposito, an Account Representative from Total Care Rx used a points system and judged the creations based on such qualities as creativity and presentation.
