Woman Sought In Botched Broadway Bank Rob

Police are searching for a woman who attempted a holdup at an Astoria bank on October 7, authorities said.

Cops said the woman was wearing sunglasses when she entered a Santander Bank branch at 37-10 Broadway in Astoria at about 11:40 a.m. on October 7, where she passed a note to a teller demanding cash.

The teller refused to comply and the woman fled the bank empty handed, police said.

The woman is described as Caucasian, approximately 28-years-old, 5-feet, 10-inches tall and 200 pounds and brown hair. She was wearing a gray hooded jacket and blue gloves at the time of the incident.
