Homecoming For Queens Olympians

Queens Borough President Melinda Katz hosted a September 12th homecoming celebration for athletes from Queens who competed in the Summer Olympics last month in Rio de Janeiro. The honorees included Gold Medal-winning 400 meter hurdler Dalilah Muhammad (second row, r., wearing medal), Gold Medal-winning 400 meter relay runner Natasha Hastings (first row, l.), 200 meter finalist Deajah Stevens (first row, r.) and table tennis standout Jennifer “Yue” Wu (second row, second from r.). Elected officials who joined in the celebration on the steps of Queens Borough Hall were Rep. Gregory Meeks (first row, second from r.), state Senator Leroy Comrie (third row, second from l.) Assembly Members David Weprin (second row, second from l.) and Francisco Moya (second row, third from l.) and City Council Member Barry Grodenchik (second row, l.).
