Queens Tourism Kiosk Returns To US Open

For the fifth year in a row, the United States Tennis Association is providing a kiosk that is being used to offer Queens tourism information to spectators attending the US Open Tennis Championships from August 29 through September 11 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. Trained volunteers from the Queens Tourism Council and Queens Chamber of Commerce will be stationed at the kiosk to dispense information about the best Queens restaurants, hotels, cultural organizations and recreational opportunities. Borough President Katz joined Assemblymembers Margaret Markey (fourth from l.) and Jeffrion Aubry (third from r.), City Councilmembers Julissa Ferreras-Copeland (fifth from l.) and Peter Koo (sixth from l.), and other officials in unveiling this year’s kiosk on August 24th.
