Off The Wall

City Council Member Karen Koslowitz helps clean a Queens Boulevard storefront in Rego Park on August 18. Tired of seeing vandalism in her Forest Hills-based district, the elected official recently allotted funds to an anti-graffiti program that the Queens Economic Development Corporation administers with Magic Touch Cleaning. Since 2014, QEDC and Magic Touch have removed graffiti from about 300 blighted commercial and residential properties in Astoria, Howard Beach, Richmond Hill, Ozone Park, and Woodhaven, thanks to support from Koslowitz and her City Council colleagues Eric Ulrich and Costa Constantindes. These three politicians encourage constituents to report vandalized properties to their offices.
