Man Wanted In Assault-Robbery Of Astoria Teen

Police are searching for a man who robbed and assaulted an Astoria teenager on July 25.
Police said the 14-year-old victim was walking near Astoria Boulevard and 44th Street at about 7:50 a.m. on July 25 when the suspect crept up behind him, punched him in the face and demanded that he hand over his cash and property.
The teen complied and the suspect made off with $7 cash and the teen’s iPhone 4, police said.
The suspect then fled on foot, heading east on 44th Street, police said.
The suspect is described as a white male, 20-25 years old, 5’6” tall and 150 pounds. He was wearing a dark-colored shirt, white pants and black sneakers at the time of the attack.
