Biker Killed After Falling From Queensboro Bridge

A 26-year-old biker was killed on August 14, when he was thrown from his motorcycle after colliding with an SUV on the upper roadway of the Queensboro Bridge.
Officers said Joshua Persaud was driving his Honda motorcycle westbound into Manhattan at about 3 a.m. on August 14 when he struck the driver’s side of a 2011 Toyota Highlander.
Persaud, of Queens Village, was tossed off the motorcycle by the impact, police said. He slid across the roadway and off the bridge overpass, and landed in the Silvercup Studios parking lot below the bridge, police said.
Persaud was taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell, where he died a short while later.
The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and was not charged in the collision.
