Rare Flower Comes To Botanical Garden

Photos Walter KarlingPhotos Walter KarlingAn Amorphallus Titanum (Corpse Flower) made a rare appearance at the New York Botanical Garden in The Bronx. The flower earns its unusual name because of the fact that it smells like rotting meat. The last time a Corpse Flower was seen at the Botanical Garden was in 1937 and it caused quite a sensation then as well.
