Astoria Laptop Thief

Police are searching for a suspect wanted in connection with the theft of a laptop computer in Astoria.

Cops said the victim left her laptop on the ledge of a building at the Ravenswood Houses, at 12th Street near 35th Avenue in Astoria, at about 12:20 p.m. on June 24th.

The man snatched the computer as he entered the building, then disappeared into the housing complex, police said.

The suspect is described as a black male, 40-to-50-years-old, five-feet, eight-inches tall and 160 pounds.

He was wearing a white T-shirt with dark stripes on the sleeves, dark-colored pants, black sneakers and a black do-rag, and was carrying a black backpack at the time of the robbery, police said.
