The Feast Of San Antonio Abate

The 46th annual feast in honor of San Antonio Abate was held June 23rd through June 26th on Ditmars Boulevard in Astoria, sponsored by the Society of Castrofilippo. Members of the Italian-American community gathered to celebrate the feast day, which concluded on Sunday with a mass and procession of statue of the saint on Ditmars Boulevard. Children and adults alike participated in games, rides and food at the festival, which was a fun way to welcome the start of the summer season.—Melissa Mennona
