Parade Grand Marshals, David Nam of the U.S. Naval Academy and federal prosecutor Mike Keilty were joined by Councilman Jimmy Van Bramer, along with the Christ the King marching band at the Catholic War Veterans’ headquarters on 61st Street, near Roosevelt Avenue for the start of the May 30 festivities. The parade moved down Woodside Avenue and stopped at 57th Street at the Vietnam War memorial where a wreath laying ceremony was held. Commemorative wreaths were also laid at the foot of the Doughboy Statue in Windmueller Park.
