Plans Filed For12-Story Residential Building

By Liz Goff
Owners of a parcel at 41-41 24th Street in Long Island City have filed plans to develop a 12-story residential building at the site.

Plans call for 24 apartments on 19,851-square-feet of residential space. Average units would measure 827-square-feet, which indicates the units could be condos or rentals.

The 25-foot-wide building would have two units on each floor, a ground-floor recreation space for a gym or lounge and a rooftop deck.

The plans also show that a second-floor apartment will feature a balcony, and the building would not feature any indoor parking spaces.

The 2,500-sqyare-foot lot is located in the Dutch Kills community, just one block north of the Queensboro Bridge. The single-story warehouse served as home to several auto repair shops and was last utilized as a warehouse.
