Fake Construction Worker Waned In Failed Bank Rob

Police are continuing their search for a man who, dressed as a construction worker, attempted to hold up a bank in Astoria on April 26.

Cops said the suspect walked into the Sussex Bank on Astoria Boulevard at about 4 p.m. on April 26, where he flashed a gun and demanded cash from a teller.

The teller refused to comply and the man ran from the bank empty-handed, police said.

The suspect is described as a black male, 25-35-years-old. He was wearing a hard hat, reflective vest, a surgical mask and surgical gloves at the time of the attempted holdup, police said.
