Jon Stewart Saves Bull From Queens Slaughterhouse

Jon Stewart, legendary former host of “The Daily Show,” recently made a bull, er, bold move on April 1, when he rescued a bull named Frank after it had escaped en route to a Queens slaughterhouse. The NYPD received a call just after 10 a.m. about a bull roaming the campus of York College near 160th Street and Liberty Avenue. Animal rescue organization Farm Sanctuary reportedly negotiated a voluntary release of the bull and told Stewart about the situation. Stewart and his wife, bestselling author Tracey Stewart, who have partnered with Farm Sanctuary before, drove out and picked up Frank in Brooklyn. Frank spent the weekend with the Stewarts on their Bufflehead Farm in New Jersey. He was then brought to a local vet for a checkup and then was taken to a Farm Sanctuary shelter in Watkins Glen, NY.
