Investors Bank Gives $5K Grant To Ridgewood LDC

Photo Ken Brown

Investors Bank and the Investors Foundation recently gave a $5,000 grant to the Ridgewood Local Development Corporation (RLDC) to support its neighborhood improvement programs. The grant also recognizes RLDC’s decades-long efforts to enhance the Myrtle Avenue commercial area by providing streetscape amenities and storefront upgrades. Formed in 1978, RLDC also started the Myrtle Avenue Business Improvement District (BID) in 1988. The BID’s many services include daily sidewalk sweeping and sanitation services, holiday lighting, special events and many activities that have enhanced the shopping environment on Myrtle Avenue in Ridgewood, as well as the adjoining side streets. The RLDC and BID also collaborate with many community-based, nonprofit organizations. Shown in the photograph (l. to r.); are Investors Bank’s Stephanie Rodriquez, Ridgewood Branch Manager Susan Placella, RLDC Executive Director Ted Renz, Assistant Branch Manager Helen Boddie-Khan and Jamie Santiago.
