The speakers included Councilman Costa Constantinides, Chair of the Environmental Protection who spoke on many of the latest Environmental Policies and Legislation that have been recently enacted by the City Council to combat climate change.
Stephanie Wakefield and Matt Peterson spoke about their organization, Woodbine at Ridgewood, and how it is addressing issues like climate change in NYC, community climate resilience, ecology and how we, as neighbors, can organize together on the local level.
The Ridgewood Dems thanked Assemblywoman Catherine Nolan and state Senator Joseph P. Addabbo Jr. for giving them an update on the state budget, the enactment of paid family leave and many other issues that the state will be tackling over the rest of the legislative session. The Dems stated, “We must continue to work together at all levels of government to ensure that we develop environmental policies that protect our planet for the next generation.”
