Corona Stroller Thief Nabbed

Police arrested a 27-year-old East Elmhurst woman on April 7, who is accused of using a young boy to snatch a baby stroller from the front porch of a Corona home.

Police said Raysa Duran sent the boy to steal the stroller from s home near 35th Avenue and 97th Street at about 7 p.m. on April 3.

When the boy returned to Duran, who was hiding around a nearby corner, she grabbed the stroller and ran, police said.

The victim reported the theft to police, who tracked down Duran through surveillance footage obtained from a nearby business, police said.

Duran was charged with petit larceny, child endangerment and criminal possession of stolen property at her arraignment at Queens Criminal Court.
