Assemblymen Braunstein & Kim Receive Broadway-Flushing Historic Plaques

Assemblyman Edward Braunstein proudly displays a bronze plaque which he purchased to hang in his district office. Broadway-Flushing Homeowners Association member Maria Becce delivered the plaque which signifies the placement of Broadway-Flushing on the National Register of Historic Places by the US Department of the Interior and the New York State Register. The assemblyman joined almost 100 homeowners who have so far participated in the program.

Assembly District 40 Representative Ron Kim as Maria Becce delivered a plaque signifying that Broadway-Flushing had been placed on the National Register of Historic Places by the US Department of the Interior and the New York State Register. By purchasing the plaque, Kim joined almost 100 area homeowners who have to date participated in the plaque program. Representing the Broadway-Flushing Homeowners Association, Mrs. Becce thanked Kim for his "Continued support of our historical neighborhood and the contextual character of our homes."  She also thanked him for his concern for the safety of those living in illegal SROs, and his efforts to have them closed down and to hold realtors accountable for false advertising.
