Say No To Violence



Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown celebrated the Far Rockaway community’s annual “Say No To Violence Week” by attending an assembly on March 24 held for 200 students from Frederick Douglass Academy VI High School, Queens High School for Information, Research and Technology, and Academy of Medical Technology: A College Board School. Joining District Attorney Brown was NYPD Det. Steven McDonald, who was paralyzed by gunshot wounds suffered while on duty 30 years ago and who shared with the students his inspiring message of nonviolence and forgiveness.
