Cops Nab Man, Hunt Transgender Woman In Hotel Attack

Police arrested a 32-year-old Queens man on February 28, who, along with a transgender woman, robbed and attacked a drunken man inside an Elmhurst hotel room on February 22.

Cops said the highly intoxicated victim met the transgender woman, 34-yer-old Gilbert Blake, just before 4:30 a.m. on February 22 and followed her to the Metro Motel on Queens Boulevard, where he rented a room.

When the pair entered the room, the victim spotted Adam Arenas, 32, sitting inside, police said. As the victim turned toward Blake, she slashed him on the arm with an unknown object, police said.

Arenas and Blake then grabbed $1,200 cash and an iPhone from victim and fled the scene, police said.

The victim ran to the front desk clerk who called 911, police said. The victim was treated and released at Elmhurst Hospital Center.

Arenas was charged with robbery and assault at his arraignment at Queens Criminal Court.

Police are still searching for Blake, who is described as white transgender woman, 6-feet, 2-inches tall, with long black hair.
