Cops Hunt Fake Debit Card Thief

Police are searching for a suspect who used a fake debit card to withdraw more than $2,000 from the account of an Elmhurst senior.

Cops said the suspect walked into the vestibule at a Chase Bank branch on Grand Avenue at about 8:50 p.m. on December 7, where he used a re-encoded debit card to withdraw more than $2,300 from the account of the 69-year-old victim.

The suspect, who was captured on surveillance footage, is described as an Hispanic male in his 20, approximately 150 pounds.

The HOTLINE is offering a reward of up to $2,500 to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
