Woman's Body Found In East River

NYPD removed the body from the water at around 1 p.m on January 22 at 21st Avenue and Shore Boulevard.

The woman, who could not immediately be identified, had  Two pieces of jewelry from the victim.Two pieces of jewelry from the victim.bruising on her head and legs.

It was unclear how she died or how long she had been dead.

She is believed to be 60-years-old and was wearing a black shirt and pants, multicolored sneakers and jewelry.

Police have released a photo of the jewelry she was wearing, in hopes it will lead to her identification.
