Suspects Wanted In Astoria ATM Rob

By Liz Goff
Police are searching for three suspects who robbed a man who had just made a withdrawal from an ATM machine in Astoria.

Cops said the three suspects watched as the 19-year-old victim withdrew an undisclosed amount of cash from an ATM machine inside the A-Town Deli on Ditmars Boulevard at about 2:50 p.m. on November 8.

The suspects followed the victim out of the deli, surrounded him and pushed him to the ground, where one of the men reached into his pants pocket and removed his wallet and credit card, police said.

The hapless suspects made off with the credit card and a single dollar, police said. That’s because the victim put the cash in another pocket as he left the ATM machine, police said.

“The victim was able to immediately cancel the credit card, leaving his attackers with just one dollar for their efforts,” a police source said.

The three suspects are described as male Hispanics, 25-30years old, each with dark hair. Two of the men had medium builds and the third weighed about 200 pounds, police said. One of the suspects was wearing a red hat with large ear flaps at the time of the attack.
