Ground Breaking Ceremony At Frank Golden Park

On Monday, Councilman Paul Vallone joined the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation and the Shannon Gaels Gaelic Athletic Association at a ground breaking ceremony for their future home athletic grounds at Frank Golden Park in College Point. Vallone worked with City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito and the Council’s Queens Delegation to secure over $1.2 million in funding for this project. “I was happy to join the Shannon Gaels Gaelic Athletic Association today as we broke ground on their future home fields in Frank Golden Park. I’m proud to have secured the funding necessary to make this field of dreams a reality,” said Vallone. “This long awaited revamping of Frank Golden Park will be great, not just for the Shannon Gaels, but for everyone in the community that wants green space to enjoy for years to come.” On Monday, Councilman Paul Vallone joined the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation and the Shannon Gaels Gaelic Athletic Association at a ground breaking ceremony for their future home athletic grounds at Frank Golden Park in College Point.
